 Lucan Sarsfields Golf Clasic

Our Annual Golf Classic was a great success, thanks to our organising committee members, Pat Keane, Michael Roche, Michael O'Grady, Neil Cunningham, Maggie Mulqueen, Sara Hickey, Eamonn McShea, Brian Mahon and Stephen Murphy who did a lot of hard work prior to the event. We also had some extra help on the day and extend our thanks to Joe and Alice Whyte, Dermot Doherty, Derek Quilligan, Seamus Fagan and Jim Mulqueen. Our photographers Pedro and Isabella and our social posts provided by Leon Breen. We also would like to thank all of our sponsors again who supported the day. The results of the day and team photos can be found on the link here

We would like to congratulate all those who recently completed the “First Whistle” Referee Courses facilitated by the Camogie Association which took place virtually, they are now qualified to referee Go Games. Aisling Behan, Caoimhe Costello, Cara Ware, Chloe Beirne, Chloe O Shea, Cormac Coffey, Daire Collis, Eimhin Walsh, Grace Kenny, Jack Kelly, Leah O Byrne, Liam Fitzgerald, Mark Deignan, Mia Farrell, Robert Keher, Rory Egan all became part of the elite group of people “our refs”  without whom we would not have any games. We also had John Cosgrove & Roisin Egan completing the Foundation Referee Course and are qualified to referee Juvenile fixtures.

U7 Camogie

Our U7s had their first Game Vs Judes this week. Great to see all the skills on display. Keep up the good work.

U11 Hurling/Football

Our Boys travelled across to Galway to play Salthill Knocknacarra. 47 boys made the journey along with parents, coaches and siblings. We played 6 football matches and 3 hurling games against Salthill Knocknacarra. The games were competitive and played in a good spirit. We were given an incredibly warm and generous reception by Salthill Knocknacarra and we would like to thank them for their hospitality. We hope to return the favour and host them in the near future. The boys returned to Dublin on Sunday afternoon, stopping en-route in Supermacs for some well deserved nutrition. All in all it was a super day out with some brilliant memories created. Definitely a Father’s Day with a difference. Up next is a trip to Portlaoise.
