Kilmainhamwood GFC had their first outing of the year in AFL3 when they took on the newly promoted Cortown at the well-appointed pitch at Kilmainhamwood. The ‘Wood were missing a number of key players and struggled against a free flowing Cortown who were 0-05 v 0-01 up at half time. The second half was being evenly contested until Cortown scored the only goal of the game. Despite a spirited comeback the ‘Wood were on the wrong end of an eight point margin.
