Kilmainhamwood U10’s into the Farrell Cup final.

The Kilmainhamwood U10’s had a superb 18 scores to 5 victory over Syddan in the Farrell Cup at home on Monday 1st September. John McCreevy was in the goals and after a slow start in the first half really came into his own in the second half sweeping up behind the full-back line. That full back line consisted of Cillian Plunkett, Cian Murphy and Odhrán Keogan with Jack Murphy and Killian Russell. At midfield were Jamie Fagan and Brian Cassidy and both covered every blade of grass during the game. The half-forwards were Keith Reilly & Jonathan Reilly with Eoin Rooney, Oisín Reilly and Sean Bennett the inside forwards. The first half was a keenly contested affair but the ‘Wood men always had the upper hand. Midfield duo of Jamie Fagan and Brian Cassidy were immense and ran the show. Up front Johnny Reilly & Sean Bennett were proving a handful while in defence Killian Russell and Cian Murphy repelled and threat that the opposition posed. The second half was much the same with Odhrán Keogan, Jack Murphy and Killian Plunkett rock solid at the back with Keith & Oisín Reilly and Eoin Rooney menacing up front.Substitutes Pavilous Ceniunas, Eoin Finegan, Colin Plunkett & Dylan Maguire all contributed handsomely to the victory. Next up for the boys in a final … so stay tuned !

regards,

Shane Russell & the lotto committee.
