The Kilmainhamwood U-10's gave a superb display in the final of the Farrell Cup in Drumconrath last Saturday against a very strong St. Culberts team but unfortunately were at the wrong end of a one point game.

Paul Carolan was in goals and brilliantly read the game sweeping up a huge amount of ball and launching many attacks.

Jamie Fagan at right corner back was as busy as usual and tackled like a tiger.

Niall Bennett at full back was brilliant in the first half and moved to mid-field in the second half where he continued to work hard.

Cian Murphy at left corner back marked tightly and played well.

Calum Crosbie at right half back was marking a tricky forward and done well.

David Carolan continued his great year and read the game superbly.

Dean Carolan at left half back made a few great blocked and covered a lot of ground.

Adam Crosbie at midfield was marking a big strong lad and stood up well to him with a fine performance.

Bernard Reilly covered every blade of grass in the first half before going back to full back

Jonathan Reilly at right half forward, just back from illness, played well for 10 minutes before a hard tackle forced him off.

Declan Reilly on the 40 blocked the defenders coming out and contributed well to the team.

Keith Reilly hassled and harried all day.

Brian Cassidy at right corner forward tried hard against very strong defenders.

Killian Shields on the square was a great target man.

Niall Conlon was tigerish as usually and was unlucky not to win the match near the end.

There is an U-8 & U-10 End-of-Year presentation day on Saturday after a 10:30am challenge match / training session.
