Good Results On and Off the Field!

Isn't it great to be a Rathvilly supporter!

Our Lotto jackpot was won this week by Sue Kelly known affectionately as "Shaggers Sue". Well done Sue!

We must surely have the most frequently won lotto in the country! It's surely an incentive to keep playing the lotto in Rathvilly GAA!

On the field things are going very well!

The junior team have continued their fine run of form with a win over Kildavin/Clonegal by 3-15 to 2-6 while the senior team had a fantastic win over Eire Og in Fr.Ryan Park by 2-18 to 1-10.

JJ Smith finished off a fantastic goal for the seniors after Brian Murphy spotted his run and tapped into his path before JJ stuck it in the top corner.

Patrick "PaPa" Byrne,Brendan Murphy, Andrew Bolger, Gary Owens, Alan Kelly and Barry-John Molloy were outstanding for the home team and the latter even got up from corner back to slot over a lovely point.

It was a very good team performance from Rathvilly who take on Mount Leinster Rangers next Sunday.

The club is currently planning the weekend of all weekends in August from the 2nd to the 4th and is inviting all past players back to the village for a wonderful three days of partying!
