All members must complete an induction before using the Gym.
All Gym users must be a full club member or a social member.
Only persons 16 and over are permitted to use the Gym Facility
Persons aged over 16 & U18 cannot join the gym but can use it as part of an official supervised training session.
Only playing members are covered by the GAA Injury Benefit Fund whilst using the Gym as part of a supervised training session.
Gym opening hours will be 7.30am to 9pm Monday to Friday, 9am to 9pm Saturday and 10am to 6pm Sunday.
Use of the Gym as part of a team training arrangement is limited to three hours per week and will not take place before 7.30pm Monday to Friday. The gym will be off limits during team training and notice of this will be sent to members via text message in advance.
Classes will not be held before 8pm Monday to Friday. These will not be included in membership and will incur an additional cost, payable to the instructor. The gym can be used during classes but the class will have priority on equipment.
This facility is NOT supervised. All members are responsible for knowing his/her physical limitations.
Misusing equipment will lead to injury / damage the equipment.
Do not use equipment that you believe to be faulty or in need of attention. Advise the gym committee as soon as possible of your concerns.
Equipment may not be reserved for use by the placing of bags towels etc. on them or by any other method. Members must use available equipment in an orderly and organised manner.
Clean the machine you use. Please respect other users carry a towel and clean down equipment after use
Pick up after yourself - If you move equipment put it back where it belongs. Place rubbish in the bins provided and remove personal items from the facility.
Personal belongings – Members are responsible for their own belongings and valuables should not be left in the Gym or changing facilities
Proper hygiene required – wear clean clothes while working out. Closed Top athletic shoes required. NO dress shoes, boots or sandals permitted
No glass containers - Only Plastic Drinks Containers
No smoking, chewing gum or food permitted in the gym.
Access to the Gym will be by way of an electronic card reader. Each paid up member will be given a card. Cards must be returned on cessation of membership. A charge of €15 will apply to lost or stolen cards.
Access cards will be disabled on cessation of membership or failure to comply with the conditions of membership, thereby denying the holder access to the Gym.
All Gym members must at all times be mindful of the comfort of fellow gym users. Inappropriate behaviour or language that is likely to offend may result in termination of membership.
Checks to ensure that only authorised persons and paid up members are present in the Gym will be carried out. Such checks may involve the use of CCTV footage. Anyone allowing non-members access to the facility will have their fob disabled and a fine of €20 will be applied for reactivation. A second offence will see membership cancelled with no refund.
Robertstown GFC club have overall responsibility for the GYM and may alter, or amend the terms of membership.
Any member with any medical condition must disclose the same to the committee. It is recommended that all members visit their GP before becoming a member. The responsibility for this lies with the member.
