Tipperary Schoolboys Girls Southern & District League (TSSDL)
Player Code of Conduct
Player Code of Conduct We all have a responsibility to promote high standards of behaviour in the game. As a player, you have a big part to play in promoting the TSSDL Academy in a positive manner. That is why Tipperary Schoolboys/Schoolgirls & District League is asking every player to follow a code of conduct. On and off the field, I will: - Adhere to the laws of the game.
- Display high standards of behaviour and promote the TSSDL Academy in a positive manner at all times.
- Arrive to training on time and with the relevant kit (Shin guards, boots, water bottle etc.)
- Always play to the best of my ability, play fairly and refrain from cheating or complaining.
- Remember we all make mistakes Win and lose with dignity.
- Respect my team mates, manager, referee and other coaches.
- Never engage in bullying, intimidation, harassment or any form of insulting or abusive behaviour.
- Never engage in activity which might be deemed racist, sexist, homophobic or discriminatory in any way.
- Respond to and acknowledge any instructions my manager/coach may give.
- Talk to someone I trust or the TSSDL appointed welfare officer if I am unhappy with anything in the TSSDL Academy.
- Remember social media can be a dangerous tool and once something is posted it can never be permanently removed. Think before you hit send!
- Players are members of The TSSDL Academy for the entire season. Any change to this is entirely at the manager’s discretion.
I understand if I do not follow the code one or all of the following actions may be carried out by the TSSDL Academy: - Be required to apologise to committee team mates, referee or opposition player/manager.
- Receive a warning from the Manager/ Director of Soccer
- Receive a written warning from the TSSDL Executive committee.
- Be substituted, dropped from the squad or suspended for a number of games/ training sessions
- Be asked to leave the TSSDL Academy Programme.
