Scór na nÓg

On Friday night, Scor na nÓg returned for the first time since 2019. Killoe Óg were represented in all eight categories on the night.

We were victorious in five out of the eight events on the night-Solo Singing, Novelty Act, Set Dancing, Ballad Group and Recitation and now look forward to taking part in Leinster Competition on Saturday 26th of March in Mullingar.

 

Huge thank you to our wonderful mentors who has worked so hard with the groups over the last number of weeks-Marian Kiernan (Figure Dancing), Yvonne Finnegan and Mairead Loughlin( Set Dancing), Marie McCormack (Solo Singing), Grainne Fox(Ballad Group), Marie Brady (Instrumental music), Kevin Mollaghan and Sinead McCormack (Novelty Act), Mickey Kenny (Recitation) and Anna Crosley (Sean Nos)

 

Our Trath na gCeist team of Ryan and Gerard Keogh, Tommy Tully and Conor Doherty and their mentor Aron Fitzpatrick will be out in action in the next week or two. Venue and Date for Tráth na gCeist TBC

 

We also won Club of the Year in what was a hugely successful night for the club.Huge thank you to all the children who represented our club with great enthusiasm and energy.

 

Longford GAA Gaeltacht Bursaries

Longford GAA has secured a number of promotional Bursaries for a term in the Gaeltacht with Colaiste na bhFiann for 2022. Available for both Primary and Secondary school children. Social & Presentation Night

A date for your diary: Our club social and presentation night takes place on Saturday April 23rd at 9pm in Longford Rugby Club. Free admission and all members & supporters are welcome to attend. 

 

Club Fundraiser

Once again the GAA have launched the National Club Draw for 2022. The draw takes place  on June 4th 2022. This is always a great fundraiser for us and we are asking all our members for their support. Tickets will be available from all committee members and online at €10 each. A full list of the prizes are available on our facebook page. Along with the National Draw we are also holding a separate draw for €1000 in prizes. 1st Prize of €500 and 5 prizes of €100 each. Please Support.  Online link attached to purchase tickets.

2022 Club Membership 

Club Membership for the 2022 season is now open and can be purchased from any member of the club executive as well as online through Foireann (returntoplay.gaa.ie) and Clubforce. 

 

Membership for the 2022 Club Season is as follows:

Adult Player – €40

Adult non-player – €25

Student Player- €20 

Membership entitlements include entry into draw for All Ireland Football & Hurling Finals tickets, entry into any draw for tickets to our Club Championship games, as well as Club voting rights.

 

Upcoming Fixtures

Our first league games of the year will kick off on Saturday April 9th with our division 5 team taking on Legan Sarsfields at home in round 1. Our first Senior division 1 game takes place on Saturday April 23rd at home to Clonguish while on the same weekend our junior team we will also be away to Clonguish in Division 3. Time & dates TBC.
