Scór na nÓg 2023: It's that time of the year again. Scór na nÓg kicks off soon. The county final is penciled in for Friday the 10th of March in Blessington.
Scór na nÓg is an under-17s competition open to members of the club and gives our young people a chance to display their talents off the playing field.
Last year, Éire Óg members took to the stage and represented the club in the Solo Singing and Instrumental Music categories. Other Scór categories include Figure/Céilí Dancing, Set Dancing, Recitation/Storytelling, Ballad Group singing, Novelty Act and the table quiz. County Credentials: The Wicklow ladies footballers kick off their national league campaign with an away match against Derry next Sunday. It’s good to see club players, Megan Healy, Orla Minogue and Laurie Cunningham all involved in the set-up.
Also, congratulations to Mark Barry who has been appointed Wicklow minor hurling manager for the season. There is also a large number of players from our club on the minor team which is a great testament to the work Mark and the other coaches have put in.
Operation Transformation: We’d another great turnout for our 5k walks last Tuesday and Thursday as part of the club’s involvement in Ireland Lights Up an initiative of Operation Transformation.
We’re meeting again this week at 6pm on Tuesday and 8pm on Thursday from the clubhouse.
Weekly Lotto: Last week’s winning numbers were 1, 2, 6 & 20. The weekly cash prize winners were Jeni Brangan and Eleanor Morton. Tonight’s jackpot is €1,300. Get your tickets HERE.
