Welcome to this week’s club news Help build the gym: As we move forward with our plans to install our own gym within the club we are asking for your help. This great addition to our facilities is one that will benefit all our members into the future. Adult ladies football in county final: Our junior ladies football team beat Baltinglass on a score line of 10-5 to 9-3 in a thrilling Junior A Semi-final in Laragh. Great team work got us over the line coming from 5 points down early in 2nd half. Special mention to Meadbh Deeney scoring a sensational 5-4 from midfield. U13 boys footballers win big: This team had a really a great win over Bray Emmets in the opening round of the Wicklow Under-13 Group 3 football championship tie at Bray Emmets on Friday evening. In terms of almost all facets of the game individual skill, intelligent use of the ball, teamwork and overall understanding the lads excelled. Read match report in full notes. Blitzed: What a great day out and a great performance from by all the Éire Óg teams in the Blessington Leinster Blitz. It was a super occasion for the U11s, U10s, U9s and U8s. Mentor Gary Lehane particularly wanted to thank everyone for all their support.
U17 (Minor) A Football Championship: A comfortable win at home v AGB this week saw Éire Óg Greystones minor boys footballers qualify for the A Championship semi-final with a match to spare. The last group game will be on the 24th Sept against Baltinglass and this will determine the group winners and runners up. The Semi final will be played on Sunday 7th October.
