Welcome to week’s club news, Junior C footballers in full flight: The Junior C (3rd adults) football team had a great win against Annacurra last week in Division 4. This team has a very wide age spectrum from those who’ve just completed their leaving cert to lads in their 40s. The team is building up nicely as they approach the championship.
Weekly lotto: €12,000 would get you an upgrade on your summer holiday. All you have to do is match the four numbers in the club’s weekly lotto and it’s yours. Last week’s weekly cash prize winners were Kevin Keyes Snr and Peter Lowe. The winning numbers were 1,9,14 & 23. Get your €2 tickets HERE. Have boots will travel: The Wicklow ladies minor football team travelled to Rennes in France earlier this week. The trip was organised through Rennes Ladies GAA and is part of the Galiesie en Fete 2018 festival. The team played matches against both Rennes and a Breton selection while also conducting some schools coaching workshops. Our club had three players, Aoife McTeague, Megan Healy and Eva Roche among the travelling party.
Cúl Camps: There are now only a few places left our summer camps. These camps are for children between the ages of 6 and 13. They are an action-packed and fun-filled week of activity during the summer holidays which revolves around maximising enjoyment and sustaining participant involvement in Gaelic Games. They will be in Greystones in July. You can book via this link http://bit.ly/2xGolVB U11 boys’ hurling in action: A regular feature for our adult and juvenile teams is to seek challenge games with clubs in neighbouring counties. This helps to ensure regular matches and enables teams to play against different sides. This was the case with our U11 hurlers who played against St Olafs, Dublin recently.
