The new, electronic scoreboard is up and running. Fully programmable for team names and scores, with a clock that counts up or down. It is a huge addition to the facilities in the club and a massive thank you to Telfords for their sponsorship.
The SuperValu competition continues for another couple of weeks and we are doing well, but need to push on to the finishing line.
The Juvenile Club church gate collection takes place on Saturday 10th and Sunday 11th July. All help would be gratefully accepted.
The leagues are coming to a conclusion. Our Div2 hurlers have been relegated, despite some very competitive performances. Often playing teams two championship levels above them, our hurlers acquitted themselves well but will be playing Div3 next year. Focus has now turned to the JuniorA hurling championship, in which we are expected to do very well.
Our Div4 footballers finished a disappointing league, ending up 9th. With the football leagues being reconfigured next year, we will play in Div4A next year.
The Div5 hurlers finished just outside the league semifinal places. Some good performances, with plenty of young players coming through. The JuniorC championship semifinal is next on the list for these lads.
