There was no winner of the weekly club lotto. The numbers drawn were 1-8-30, next week´s draw will take place in Fairfield Bar with a jackpot of €2,250. Jim Nolan is the new manager of the Castlehaven senior team for 2015 season, he was ratified at the first committee meeting of the year.
Jim has vast experience of managing teams at club and inter county level. He was manager/trainer of the Castlehaven senior team that won the Munster and county club titles in 1994. He was a selector with the Cork senior team that won numerous National league and Munster titles. He was a selector with Cork in 2010 that won the Sam Maguire for the first time in twenty years. Chrisy Collins and Brendan Deasy are also part of the management team.
The U21 team began the year with a victory over Cill Na Martra in the Glenville tournament last Sunday morning. Cill Na Martra dominated the first half and lead at half time by 1-06pts. to 0-03pts. Castlehaven improved hugely for the second half and finished strongly to win by 2-10pts. to 1-09 pts. The management team were very happy with the win and it was very competitive game for the start of the year. They now play Kilmeen at home this weekend on Saturday or Sunday in the next round, check the club website or on twitter for the fixture .

Brian Hurley was on the Cork team that defeated Mary I College in the McGrath Cup, they play Tipperary in the next round on the weekend.
The annual dinner dance is on Saturday 17th January at the West Cork Hotel. The club will be honouring 1989 senior team that won the Munster and county titles at the dinner. Tickets are €35 each and can be purchased from any member of the committee.
