There was no winner of the weekly club lotto. The numbers drawn were 5-23-33, next week´s draw will take place in Harbour Bar with a jackpot of €1,500.
The Castlehaven GAA Club had a very successful AGM last Friday night in the pavilion. Secretary Bernard Hurley addressed the meeting giving a detailed account of how all the teams performed during the year.
Denis Harnedy the club treasurer gave a detailed account of the financial side of the club. He thanked the finance committee for running the monthly draw and weekly lotto. Club Chairperson Christy Collins thanked everyone who help in the running of the club during the past year. These included the officers, committee, trainers, selector, players, underage club and the club sponsors. He said the club developed a new all-weather pitch during the year which was a credit to the club. He congratulated all the players who played inter county football during the year. He thanked the senior management and players for the huge efforts and commitment they made during the year for the club. He said he was looking forward to success on the football field and the development of a new dressing room and stand at Moneyvolihane for 2015. Castlehaven officers elected for 2015 are as follows: President - Ned Cleary, Vice President - Frank Cronin, Chairman Christy Collins, Vice Chairman - Sean Nolan, Secretary - Bernard Hurley, Assistant Secretary - Andy Whelton, Treasurer Denis Harnedy, Assistant Treasurer and Medical Officer John O’Brien, Registrar Chris Whelton, PRO Batt Maguire, ASOP Finbarr Santry, County Board Delegate Sean O’Neill, Proxy County Board delegate Niall Cahalane, W.C.B. Delegates James O’Neill and Christy Collins .
The U21 management team of John Cleary, James McCarthy, Liam Collins, Dan O’Sullivan and Paudie Hurley were ratified at the meeting. The senior, junior 1 and junior 3 management teams will be ratified at the first committee meeting in the New Year.
The draw for the first round of the 2015 senior championship Castlehaven V Clyda Rovers.
The annual dinner dance is on Saturday 17th January at the West Cork Hotel. The club will be honouring 1989 senior team that won the Munster and county titles at the dinner.
