All Ireland winner Nollaig Cleary will have The Ladies All Ireland Cup, The Brendan Martin Cup - at the pavilion on Friday 10th at 8 pm. Nollaig has now won nine senior medals, everyone is invited to honour and welcome home Nollaig with the cup.
The club to extend congratulations to Noreen O Sullivan of Bluid who captained her club New South Wales to win Australasian GHFAA State Championships in Melbourne.
The senior team finished the 2014 league season with a loss away to Clonakilty last Tuesday night. The first half was a close affair, both teams had plenty possession and were level at half time 5pts. each. There was a big improvement in the football for the second half. Castlehaven got an early goal but Clonakilty replied with a late goal and won the match by 1-13pts. to 108pts. The junior 1 team lost a home to Boherbue in the junior 1 county league on Saturday night. It was a good attacking game of football for the first half with both goalkeepers kept busy, Castlehaven lead at half time by 1-04pts to 1-03pts. Boherbue dominated possession for the second half and were deserving winners by 2-09pts to 1-05pts. The U/16 D Panel travelled to Aughaville to play Tadgh Mac Carthaigh in the league on Sunday morning and came away with a good win on a scoreline of 5-08pts to 2- 09 pts.
