The junior 1 team had a very good league victory over The Dohenys in Dunmanway on Tuesday night. The team was a mixture of youth and experience, played some great football over the hour. Castlehaven got an early goal to lead at half time by 1-04pts. to 0-03pts. Castlehaven got two early goals in the the second half, that finished the game as a contest. The Dohenys got some late scores but Castlehaven won by 4-09pts. to 0-09pts. The U/16 D team played Adrigole away in the league last Sunday morning . The Haven played some great football in the first half and led at half time by 4-07pts. to 2-06pts..The home side got on top in the second half scoring some great goals to run out winners on a scoreline of 9-10pts. to 6-12 pts. Last Sunday was a really special and proud day for the Ladies Club as the U10 played an exhibition match at half time in the Cork V Dublin ladies final. They played Raheny from Dublin. The Raheny club had a choice of 50 girls in this age group, where Castlehaven had only 12 . The girls showed their Haven spirit by fighting back from 2 goals down to win by 2 points A brilliant team display on the biggest stage for gaelic football. it was a great day for all 85 who travelled to Dublin. The day was made extra special by our own reblette Nollaig Cleary winning her 9th All Ireland title.
