The senior team played two league games over Easter, they drew with O Donovan Rossa and were beaten by St. Finbarrs. The game against The Rossas was a very close affair, Castlehaven got an early goal to lead at half time by 1-06pts. to 0-06pts. O Donovan Rossa dictated the first 20 minutes of the second half to lead by three points with 10 minutes remaining. Castlehaven lost to the Barrs at home on Saturday in a very high scoring game. Castlehaven had the wind for the first half but the Barrs lead by 1-5pts to 1-04pt.Both team played attacking football for the second half, Castlehaven were two points up with a minute to go and the Barrs struck for a late goal to win by 2-12pts. to 1 -14pts. The U14 team opened their league campaign with a good win away to Ahan Gaels on Monday. The Haven played with the wind in the first half and led at half time by 2-8 to 0-2.Both sides found scores hard to come by in the second half in windy conditions full time Haven 3-10 Ahan Gaels 4-2. The underage club are hosting an Easter Coaching Camp on Friday 25th from 7pm to 9pm, this camp is for everyone from 12yrs. of age down. Club and County players to take the sessions, all welcome refreshments afterwards.
The club had two representatives, Michael Hurley and Colm O’Driscoll on the Cork minor team that had a comprehensive win over Limerick in the championship.
