Congratulations to the Castlehaven U21 team and selectors for a great victory over an excellent Ilen Rovers side in Dunmanway on Friday night. The team gave a tremendous display of football, taking some great scores and showed mighty character to win the match by 0-12pts.to 0-10pts. The minor team had a good win over a physically strong Charleville team in Cloughduv on Monday night. It was a great game of attacking football both forward lines had the respective defences under pressure. Castlehaven started well and lead at half time by 10pts. to 1-02pts. Charleville scored a goal after half time to take the lead by 2pts. Both teams attacked and missed goal changes, but Castlehaven got a vital goal to lead by 3pt.with five minutes left. Castlehaven held on to win in a very entertaining game by 1-17pts.to 3-07pts.

The senior team lost to Nemo Rangers in the league on Sunday morning in Cork. Nemo got an early goal and lead at half time by 1-06pts to 0-03pts. Castlehaven improved for the second half and closed the gap to 3pts., but Nemo finished strongly to win by 1-11pts. to 0-08pts. Mark Collins and Brian Hurley both played well for Cork who drew with Tyrone in the league, Cork have now qualified for the league play offs.
