The minor team won the U18 A countyfinal with a victory over Mícheál MacCárthaigh in Kilmurry onSaturday evening. The team gave a very good performance against a physicallystronger Mícheál MacCárthaigh team and match played in very wetconditions. We lead at half time by 5pts. to 3pts. After half time weplayed some great football and got a brilliant goal, which was the decisivescore of the game to win by 1-11pts, to 0-07pts. Congratulations to the mentorsand the players for their great win, all year they have played brilliant footballand won some great matches. The supporters have got great enjoyment from thegames during the season. The Junior 3 played the league final on Sunday last in Castlehavenagainst Diarmuid O Mathunas. Castlehaven fielded a depleted team due to workcommitments of many of its team but gave a spirited performance against anumerically stronger Diarmuid O Mathunas. Castlehaven were still in the game athalf time but were unable to see off the numerical challenge as players tired.Congratulations to Diarmuid O Mathunason on their win and a sporting game. TheCastlehaven team lined out as follows; Liam O’Donovan, Sean McCarthy, EndaBuckley, Darragh O'Callaghan, Micheal Coughlan, Denis Cahalane, Darren Collins,Niall O Leary, Donal Buckley, John Paul Harnedy, Fra Cahalane, Des Buckley andPadraig Courtney.
The U/13 panel played Ilen Rovers at Moneyvoulihane onThursday night in the league final. In a highly entertaining match thephysically stronger Rovers side came out on top on a scoreline of 4-9 to 1-12.
Referee Richie Collins presented theshield to the winning Rovers captain afterwards.

The U16 team play Macroom in theU16A county final in Dunmanway on Sunday 17th at 2:30p.m. .It should be a verygood game of football, Macroom have a great football tradition so it will be avery competitive game. All county finals are very close exciting games,the team needs all the parish to come to the match and support the team.
The club are to extend thecollecting of scrap metal at the pitch until the end of November.
