It was a great weekend for the Castlehaven club with the senior men & Intermediate ladies and U15 boys team all winning big championship game. The Castlehaven senior team gave an excellent display to defeat a very physical Mallow side last Saturday night. There is great credit due to this group of players for make their 3rd country semi-final in a row. Especially under the new group format as there is no easy games. The Castlehaven Intermediate ladies gave a top performance to beat Rosscarbery Ladies in the County semi -final at Moneyvollahane last Sunday . Goals win games and they scored 4 in the first half.
They went on to have fine win by 5-09pts to 1-07pts . The team can now look forward to the County final.
The Castlehaven U15 team played Aghinagh in the Regional West Div 2 semi - final . It was a cracking game of championship football between two excellent teams. Castlehaven just held on to win by 1-09 to 1-07pts .
