Castlehaven GAA Club lotto results: There was no winner of the jackpot last weekend when the numbers drawn were 20, 21, and 23. Consolation prizes were won by M J O Donoghue , Teresa McCarthy, and Young Family. Tickets can be purchased online www.castlehavengaa.ie Next week’s jackpot will be €1,600 on Monday 13th September. The Castlehaven senior team bounced back from last Sunday's disappointment with a fine win over Newcestown on Saturday in the championship . It was always going to be a tough game against a very competitive Newcestown side .Well done to the team and management on a great start to the 2021 championship . Ladies Football Congratulations to Ciara Dennehy on winning a U16 Munster championship medal last Saturday . She was on the Cork panel that defeated Kerry in the final . The Castlehaven and Tadhg MacCarthaigh u16 teams played out a dramatic game on Tuesday 31st in the League final at Church Cross . The game was full of attacking football with plenty scores . Castlehaven lead at half time by Castlehaven 3-03pts Tadhg MacCarthaigh 1-04pts . The second half continued on with both teams playing great football .The game ended in a draw FT Castlehaven 4-07pts Tadhg MacCarthaigh 3-10pts *Panel:* Ciara Dennehy, Abaigh Buckley, Emma McCarthy, Ellen Hickey, Kellie Pearse, Laura O’ Donoghue, Ellen Buckley, Muireann O’ Donnell, Claire O’ Mahony, Taylor Harte, Hannah Sheehy, Grace O’ Connell, Becca Sheehy, Ellie McCarthy, Molly Cahalane, Kate O’ Connell, Katie Harte, Katelyn O’ Driscoll, Kellie Daly, Orla Seymour, Emma Lawlor, Niamh O’ Driscoll, Aoife O’ Donnell, Caoimhe Flannery, Lila Bríd O’ Donovan, Grace Bohane & Jacinta Connolly .The Castlehaven travelled to Church Cross to play Ilen Rovers in the u14 West Cork League Semi Final on Friday 3rd The Haven girls dominated proceedings in the first half but the forwards weren't as accurate in front of goals,as they have been through the league.Despite this they led by 2-0 5 to 1-0 2 at half time.Ilen Rovers stormed into the game in ths second half and just a point separated the sides entering the last quarter.The home side drove on scoring 3 late goals to run out winners on a scoreline of 5 -10 to 2-0 7. Castlehaven's season isn't over yet and the girls will proceed to the County first round ,in the coming weeks. U12 Girls League Final Castlehaven vs Ilen Rovers on Mon 30th at Skibbereen . The Castlehaven and Ilen Rovers u12 teams played out an absorbing game on Monday evening at Skibbereen . It was a very close game between two very good teams . In the end Ilen came out on top winning by FT Castlehaven 0-08pts Ilen Rovers 0-11pts . The girls may be disappointed with the result but the team have played some great football over the season and the future is very bright .
