Last Sunday was a great day for Cork football with Cork winning the All Ireland minor final over Galway .
Congratulations to the team and management on the fine win . A special mention to the contribution by Castlehaven club members involved with Cork Jack Cahalane ,Sean Bohane on the panel , James McCarthy ( management) Liam O Driscoll ,Brendan Deasy and Anthony Hegarty backroom staff .
The Castlehaven U12 boys team traveled to play Carbery Rangers for the league final last Thursday in Rosscarbery .The Castlehaven team tried to compete against an excellent home side .The home side were by far the better side on the night and were deserving winners .The club would like to thank the players and management team for the big efforts they made to play football for Castlehaven during the year .

The Castlehaven Junior ladies had a comprehensive win over local rivals Tadhg Mac Carthaigh in the championship last Wednesday evening. The Haven ladies work well together and the HT score was Haven 4-09 Tadhg Mac Carthaigh 0-04 Haven continued their dominance in the second half with some excellent finishing and great defending FT Haven 5-17 Tadhg Mac Carthaigh 2-08

The Castlehaven u12 girls got their county campaign off to a great start,with a comprehensive win over East Cork side Carrigtwohill at Moneyvoulihane last Saturday morning.The locals,despite playing against the breeze,exerted their authority on the game,from an early stage.This dominance provided many scoring opportunities for the forwards,and the locals led 3 -09 to 1 -01 at half time.The visitors weren't finished yet however and enjoyed a lot more procession in the second half, creating lots of opportunities and scoring 2-01.The Haven girls responded well in the last quarter,winning on a scoreline of 4- 18 to 3-0 2.Thanks to Carrigtwohill for making the long journey, and for a very sporting game.
