The Castlehaven and Dohenys junior team played the replay last Thursday night in Drimoleague. The game was played in dreadful weather conditions driving rain and strong wind. The Dohenys had the advantage of the elements in the first half so the  Castlehaven backs were under pressure early on. It took both teams time to settle with Dohenys leading by 3pts after 10 mins. Castlehaven were working very hard all over the pitch at this stage to keep in touch with Dohenys. Dohenys missed some chance due to excellent defending by the Castlehaven backs. Castlehaven kicked two fine points just before the break to leave the half time score Castlehaven  0-03 Dohenys 0-05pts. Castlehaven made a great start after the break scoring 2-03pts without reply to lead by  2-07pts to 0-05pts after 40mins. For the final 10 mins, Castlehaven controlled possession and ran down the clock. Junior ladies Div 2 league final
The Castlehaven Junior ladies lost by the smallest of margins on Sunday night in the West Cork Div 2 Final to a physical Dohenys side.  Castlehaven, playing with the aid of a strong breeze, got a good start but Dohenys scored a quick goal and a point to leave the scores level after 19mins. Dohenys got the next 2 scores but a Katie Cronin penalty left the scores level nearing the break. Dohenys got another point before the break to leave the HT score Haven 1-04 to Dohenys 1-05. It was tit for tat in the second half, with Castlehaven clawing back a few early Dohenys scores.  In the final stages of the game, Dohenys got one ahead and kept that one point difference until the final whistle.
