U14 A Championship
The Castlehaven U14 team put up a brave performance against a powerful Clonakilty side last Friday evening in Church Cross.
Castlehaven started excellently, playing some fine football to lead by 0-04pts after 10 mins. The first half was high scoring with Clonakilty just leading at half time by 1pt HT score Castlehaven 1-11pts to 4-03pts. In a very competitive second half, the game was from end to end with both sides creating plenty of scoring chances. The physical strength of Clonakilty told in the end and they went on to win the game by FT Castlehaven 1-16pts Clonakilty 5-09pts. The club would congratulate the players and team management for the great team performance. The team must now regroup for the losers round.
