were 7-20-25 next weeks draw will take place at Kearneys Well with a jackpot of €5,800
The Castlehaven junior 1 team had a excellent victory over St. Marys in the 1st round of the championship last Sunday evening . The result means Castlehaven retain their junior A status for the 2018 championship. All the Castlehaven players showed tremendous effort and character during the game . Castlehaven were slow to settle and St Marys got a quick goal to take an early lead .In a low scoring first half Castlehaven kept the scoreboard ticking over and were down by 2pts at HT St. Mary's 1-04pts Castlehaven 0-05pts .
The second half was a very competitive affair between two fully committed sides .Both teams swapped scores early in the half but St Marys extended their lead to 3pts after 45 minutes. Castlehaven were hanging on but the players dug deep to score the last 4pts and take the lead for the first time on the 62 minute. St Marys went all out attack but Castlehaven held on for a great victory Castlehaven 0-11pts St Marys 1-07pts .

The Castlehaven and Canovee minor teams produced a super game of football last Saturday evening . The game had fine scores and some excellent high fielding by both sets of players . For the first half both teams were slow to settle and it was point for point The visitors lead by 1pt at half time Canovee 0-07pts Castlehaven 0-06pts. The second half was all action with both sides playing attacking football Canovee scored their first goal after the break to go up by 4pts but Castlehaven replied with 2 quick goals to regain the lead .
Castlehaven were up by 4pts with 15 mins left but Canovee went all out attack
and scored two goals to lead by 4pts with 5 mins remaining

The Castlehaven U11 panel traveled to St. Finbarrs GAA grounds last Saturday morning to participate in The John Kerins Tournament
They were in the same group as St. Finbarrs ,Carrigaline and St. Nicks .
Castlehaven were defeated in all the three games but they competed very well against physically stronger oppositions

The Castlehaven underage club had a fine representation on the Skibbereen CS panel that won the U16 A County title Sam Burchill , Alex Minihane,Andrew Burchill,Gavin Foley, Rory Courtney, Oran Collins, Liam O Mahony, PJ O Donovan,Donnacha O Donovan and Sean Bohane
Congratulation to John Cleary (manager ) and the Cork U18 ladies that won the Munster final on May bank holiday Monday . They defeated Kerry in the final in Killarney Cork 6-11pts Kerry 1-10pts
Dáire Cleary is a member of the Kerry U17 panel that defeated Tipperary in the Munster semi final on Tuesday night . Dáire is the son of Denis and Maria both with strong parish connections
