There was no winner of the weekly club lotto, the numbers drawn were 14-18-32 next weeks draw will take place at Boatmans with a jackpot of €3,000. Liam Collins is the new Castlehaven senior manager for 2017. He played senior football for Castlehaven for 20yrs and retired last year. Liam will be joined by Fergus Shanahan, Batt Maguire and Bernard Collins as part of the management team. The Castlehaven club wishes Liam and players all the best for 2017.
The new development at Moneyvollahane of a new 700 seater stand, dressing rooms and gym is at its final stages of completion. The club are asking all supporters to sponsor a seat for €100 to help finance the new development. A letter will be sent to every home in the parish and anyone interested can contact any of the committee.
Castlehaven Spring camp starting Thursday 2nd and for the next four Thursdays nights in the Skibbereen CS sports hall. 6pm to 6:45pm for the U5/6/7/8 players, 6:45pm to 7:45pm for the U9 and U10 players cost €10 each.
The Castlehaven club are taking part in Scór na bPaisti for national school children after a long absence next Sunday 5th in Ballydehob hall at 2pm. There are eight events/disciplines in Scór na bPaisti that cover all aspects of Irish culture: Figure/Céilí Dancing, Solo Singing, Instrumental Music, Recitation/Scéalaíocht, Ballad Group, Novelty Act, Question Time and Set Dancing.
