There was no winner of the weekly club lotto, the numbers drawn were 12-25-29 next weeks draw will take place at the Leap Inn with a jackpot of €11,200.
The Castlehaven U15 team played Mallow in a high scoring premier 2 county final last Saturday evening at Macroom. Mallow had a great start to the match, they lead by 3-02pts to 0-01pts after 15 minutes. Castlehaven settled and got more possession as the half progressed. They kicked some excellent scores before the break for the HT score Castlehaven 2-06pts Mallow 3-04pts. The match was very competitive for the first 15 minutes of the second half. Both teams were struggling to score, with defences on top. The teams were level on
the 40th minute Castlehaven 2-08pts Mallow 3-05pts. A physically stronger Mallow dominated possessions for the last 10 minutes, they went 5 pts clear by the 55th minute. Castlehaven never gave up and went all out attack, to cut the deficit to 3 pts on the 60th minute. In extra time Castlehaven were attacking but Mallow hit them on the break and scored a late goal to win the match by 4-13pts to 2-10pts. the better balanced team and converted all their chances .The Castlehaven players were very disappointed after the game ,but over the year they can be very proud with their displays and the excellent style of football they played. The second U12 teams of Castlehaven and Bandon played for the shield final last Friday evening at Moneyvollahane .Bandon had a strong wind in the first half and lead at half time by 4-06pts to 1-02pts .Castlehaven played a lot better in the second half but Bandon held on to win by 4-11pts to 4-06pts. It was a very good performance by Castlehaven especially as all the players were under 11 .
