There was no winner of the weekly club lotto ,the numbers drawn were 25-40-44 next weeks draw will take place at the Paragon with a jackpot of €11,000.
The Castlehaven U15 team had a tremendous victory over Midleton in the premier 2 county semi final last Thursday evening at Macroom. It was a excellent game of free flowing football with both sets of forwards kicking some fine scores. Castlehaven got a dream start scoring 3 early goals to by 3-00 to 0-01pts after 15 minutes. Midleton came more into the game before the break by scoring 3 goals. Castlehaven lead at half time by 5-05pts to 3-03pts.
Castlehaven played great team football after the break and extended their lead by 6-07 to 3-04pts after 40 minutes. Midleton responded by scoring by scoring 3 goals to cut the deficit, Castlehaven 6-10pts Midleton 6-04pts after 50 minuites.
A brillant display by the Castlehaven defence kept Midleton scoreless for last 5 minutes . Castlehaven added a point in extra time to win the game by 6-11pts to 6-04pts. The Castlehaven U13 team welcomed Carbery Rangers to Moneyvollahane for the final of the Tony Murphy cup on Tuesday 1st. It was a very entertaining match with plenty goal mouth action and full of drama. Castlehaven were the better team in the first half and played some great football to lead at half time by 3-4pts to 1-01pts. Carbery Rangers stormed into the game for the second half, kicking some fine scores to draw level with 12 minutes left on the clock. The last five minutes was full of drama Carbery Rangers went 2 pts clear with time up. Castlehaven dug deep and with one last attack they scored a late goal to take the lead by 1pt. Castlehaven held on to win the game by 5-05pts to 4-07pts after an excellent match. It has been a great season for the U13 panel, winning the double the Tony Murphy cup and the league. The new development is progressing very well at Moneyvollahane. The new stand will seat 700 people and is nearly complete. The roof will be fitted on the stand in the next couple weeks . The club grounds are opened during day time and everyone is welcomed to view the new development at Moneyvollahane.
