There was no winner of the weekly club lotto, the numbers drawn were 26-30-34 next weeks draw will take place at Tragumna with a jackpot of €10,600.
The Castlehaven U 15 team defeated Macroom away last Thursday night in the 1/4 final of the premier 2 championship. The first half was a low scoring with both sets of backs on top. Castlehaven got a vital goal before the break to lead at half time by 1-05pts to 0-04pts. Castlehaven started the second half with real intent and out scored the home team by 6 points to 1 to go 9 points clear. Macroom reeled off 3 unanswered points and were back in the game. Castlehaven regained their composure and scored 1-03 in the last 10 minutes ,to win the game by 2-14pts 0-08pts .It was an excellent team performance and now they have qualified for the semi final . The Castlehaven team gave a great team performance in the second half ,all the players were outstanding. They added two more goals, to go on and win the final by 5-08pts to 1-11pts .Well done to all the players and management for the great win. The Castlehaven U16 team were defeated by Aghada in the county league semi-final last Sunday evening. Aghada's ability to take their goal chances at vital times during the game was the main reason they won the match. Castlehaven had plenty possession but failed to take their chances. Aghada scored two in the first half and three in the second to deservedly win the game by 5-07pts to 2-05pts. Castlehaven now have to play Clonakilty in the Western Region league final for their last game of the year.
