The Castlehaven senior team played Ballincollig in the quarter-final of the championship last Saturday in Clonakilty. The Castlehaven team had no answer to the football Ballincollig played from the very start of the match. Ballincollig went in four points ahead at half-time and went on to play some excellent football in the second half. They were deserving winners of the game by 3-15pts to 0-07pts.
This group of Castlehaven players have given great dedication to the club . Since 2011 they have played over 30 county championship matches and Saturday's defeat is only their fourth loss loss in that period time. This is a truly remarkable accomplishment by them. The club wishes to thanks the players and the management for their huge efforts they made for club this year .
