The Castlehaven senior team had an excellent league win over neighbours O Donovan Rossa last Sunday evening at Moneyvollahane . It was a very exciting game with both teams playing attacking football. The visitors got a dream start with two early goals to take an early lead. Castlehaven settled and kicked some fine points to cut the deficit. O Donovan Rossa lead at half time by 2 pts on a scoreline of 2-05pts to 0-09pts .Castlehaven had an excellent start to the second half with two goals and had a 6pt lead after 40 minuites. O Donovan Rossa went all out attack for the last 5 minutes but Castlehaven held on to win by 2-16pts to 3-10pts Castlehaven are now second in the league with 18 points after 10 games. The Castlehaven U12 E team travelled away to play Sam Maguires in the league on Tuesday evening .It was a very high scoring match with both teams playing attacking football . Castlehaven won the game by 7-11pts to 3-10pts and recorded their second win in a week. Castlehaven U16 girls played Youghal in the quarter final of the county last Saturday in Innishannon. There was some great football played with the Haven holding on to the lead down to the final whistle and winning on a score 5-4 Haven to 2-11 Youghal. Castlehaven U12 girls played Courcey Rovers in West Cork B Final on Sunday last in Dunmanway. Courceys scored their first point 3 mins

into the game and followed 3 mins later by a goal, Courceys lead at half time with a score of 2-6 to Haven 1-1. Castlehaven came fighting back by scoring 2 points in mins of each

other but Courceys soon scored another goal. Our rivals were just to strong for our Haven girls and finished at full time, Courceys Rovers 5-6 Castlehaven 1-5.
