There was no winner of the weekly club lotto, the numbers drawn were 32-33-44 next weeks draw will take place in the Harbour Bar with a jackpot of €7,400. The Castlehaven junior 1 team defeated the Dohenys in the championship on Saturday evening at at Aughaville. It was a typical junior championship match between two very committed teams. Castlehaven won the match by scoring three late points, thus retaining their junior A status and advance to the 3rd round of the championship. The Castlehaven U12 D team played Bantry in the league away on Monday evening. The Castlehaven team played some excellent football over the hour. The physically stronger Bantry team were the better team on the night. They won the game by Bantry 6-10pt to Castlehaven 3-05pts Daniel Cleary, William O Donovan, Niall Buckley, Daniel Courtney, Ryan McCarthy, Mark Crowley, Shane O Connell 1-02pts, James Buckley 0-01pts, Davin Limrick, Micheál Maguire 1-01pts, Emmet McCarthy, Danny O Donovan 1-01pts & Eoin Maguire.
The Castlehaven underage club had players on different Cork development squads last Saturday Sam Burchill U15 and Rory Courtney, Sean Bohane, Jack Cahalane U14.
Cathal Maguire was on the Cork minor team that were defeated by Kerry in the Munster final and they now go forward into the All Ireland series.
All the best to Mark Collins, Brian Hurley with the footballers and Damien Cahalane with the hurlers on next Saturday.
