Castlehaven vs Clonakilty on Tue 24th away at 730 pm The Castlehaven junior 1 team were defeated last Sunday by Ballinscarthy in the first round of the championship . It was a full blooded encounter played by two very committed teams . The first half had some very good attacking play with both team kicking some fine scores .Each team also missed goal chances in a highly entertaining first half . The Castlehaven defence improved as the half progressed and they deservedly lead at half time by 1-05 to 0-07 .The second half was low scoring ,with both backlines on top . Midway through the half Castlehaven failed to convert some chances and Ballinascarthy scored their chances to go 3 points up with 10 minutes remaining .Castlehaven went all out attack for the last 5 minutes but Ballinascarthy held on to win the game by 0-13pts to 1-07pts . A youthful Castlehaven U18 team traveled to play Kilmurry away on Tuesday evening for a non exam league game . The Castlehaven U12 A team picked up their first league points after a good win over Clann na nGael on Monday at the Black Field . It was a very entertaining match between two good football teams .Castlehaven dominated the game and played some excellent football over the hour .
