There was no winner of the weekly club lotto.The numbers drawn were 5-8-36, next week´s draw will take place at Horse & Hound with a jackpot of €6,800.
The club have a bumper weekend ahead of championship action, the seniors play St. Finbarrs on Satuday and the junior team play Bandon in the semi final on Sunday evening. This is when the real serious championship action begins. It is knock out football, no more second chances. All the supporters are eagerly looking forward to some exciting football matches.
The Castlehaven junior 1 team are through to the semi final of the championship after a hard earned victory over St. Colums last Sunday evening at Aughaville.The team played good attacking football in the first half, kicked some fine scores and missed some chances to lead by 8pts to 4pts at half time. Colums played attacking football in the second half, but Castlehaven defended very well. Castlehaven counter attacked and scored some good points. Castlehaven scored a late goal
to win by 1-12 to 0-9. It was a very good victory against a very committed St Colms team. The Castlehaven U16 team completed their league program with a good win over Ibean Gaels last Thursday in Union Hall. Castlehaven played great football for the first half and lead the visitors by 1-9 to 0- 4 at half time. Ibean competed better in the second half but Castlehaven were deserving winners by 3-13 to 0-9.
