There was no winner of the weekly club lotto. The numbers drawn were 13-17-30, next week´s draw will take place at Shannahan's Bar with a jackpot of €6,400.
The Castlehaven minor team had a good victory over Glanmire in the championship last Friday evening. Castlehaven started the match with an goal to take an early lead. Glanmire attacked midway trough the first half and hit the crossbar but Castlehaven lead at half time by 1-8 to 0-4. Castlehaven dominated the second half and played some great attacking football. Castlehaven got a late goal to win by 2-15 to 1-7 and qualify for the quarter finals. The Castlehaven underage club held its annual Cúl Camp during the week. It was a massive success with number of participants up from last year .It was great to see the boys and girls, some from overseas and others from other counties enjoy themselves playing football over the four days. The club wishes to thank all the coaches, volunteers, parents, sponsors and players who helped make the camp a very successful event. Next years camp will commence on 2nd Aug. 2016.
Ladies Football:
The Castlehaven U12 girls played Gabriel Rangers on Thursday 30th
July. Castlehaven played some very good football during the game and won on a scoreline of 8-5 to 2-3. All the panel got game time and played very well. Team: Maddie O Driscoll, Aoibhean Calahane, Orla O Donovan, Ava Connolly, Carla Sheehy, Aislinn O Donovan, Sarah Buckley, Marie O Regan 1-1, Clodagh Bergin 2-0, Moya McCarthy, Maria O Mahony 1-1, Aoibhinn O Connell 3-3, Laura Kearney, Aine McCarthy, Emma Buckley 1-0, Hannah Connolly and Orla Crowley.
The Castlehaven U10 girls team played a friendly game against
Rosscarbery last Saturday morning . It was a very good game and the girls turned in an impressive display. The panel Aoife Buckley, Molly Cahalane, Jacinta Connolly, Ellen Hickey, Abby Kelleher, Emma Lawlor, Ellie McCarthy, Emma McCarthy, Ally O’Shea, Claire O’Mahony ,Elaine O’Donovan, Hannah Sheehy, Rebecca Sheehy & Orla Seymour.
