Our 2019 Registration will take place on Saturday, 23rd February from 12-1.30pm in our Clubhouse at Páirc Chiaráin, Ballymahon Road. There will be a free prize draw for everyone who registers. We cater to boys and girls age four and upwards, and new members are always welcome. Allianz National Football League Division 3:
Well done to Noel Mulligan and the Westmeath Senior Football Team who staged a superb comeback to defeat neighbours Offaly by one point, 0-13 to 0-12, in their opening NFL game in O'Connor Park, Tullamore on Sunday. This was a great win for Lake County Lads who trailed by 0-11 to 0-3 with 25 minutes remaining. Westmeath will look to continue their good start to the year against Carlow in Cusack Park, Mullingar next Saturday afternoon (throw-in 3pm) so best of luck to Noeley and the lads in that. Under 20 Development League:
Our U20 men's team has been placed in Group 2 of the new U20 development league alongside fellow south Westmeath teams Caulry, Garrycastle, Moate All-Whites, Rosemount-Castledaly and Tubberclair. Athlone's first game is away to Moate All-Whites next Sunday, February 3rd. Throw-in in Hogan Park is at 11.30am. Lidl Ireland Post-Primary Schools Interpros:
Congratulations to Aoife Temple who was part of the Leinster Post-Primary Schools' team who were interprovincial shield winners in the 2019 Lidl Ireland PPS Inter-provincial tournament on Saturday.
