The numbers drawn on Monday night were 3, 5, 6, 7. There was no winner. There were 4 “match three’s “; Micky D, Gavin Cooney, Collette Gormally, Virginia Spellman. The sellers’ prize went to Alan Ward, Darragh Donohue, Davy Corcoran. The next draw for a jackpot of €16,100 takes place in The Harbour Bar on Monday,  February 7.

NEW GALWAY & VICE CAPTAIN

Galway hurling manager Henry Shefflin has announced that Daithí Burke (Turloughmore) will captain the Galway Senior Hurling team for 2022 with Joseph Cooney (Sarsfields) named as Vice-Captain.

Daithi Burke has appeared on 38 occasions for Galway in the Championship, was part of Galway’s 2017 All Ireland success and captained Turloughmore to the 2020 County Final. He made his Galway debut in 2014. He is part of an elite list of Galway hurlers that have 5 All-Stars, namely Peter Finnerty, Joe Cooney and Joe Canning.

Joe Cooney has been named as vice Captain. The Sarsfields man won a County Championship medal with his club in 2015, while he too was part of Galway’s 2017 All Ireland success. Joseph has appeared on 44 occasions in the Championship for Galway and made his debut in 2012.
