There were no jackpot winners, there were 2 'match three' winners: Mary Potter, Gary Moran. 

The sellers' prize went to Emer Cooney, Joe Burke. 

Next week's draw, for a jackpot of €7,200 will be held in Garvey's Bar, New Inn on Tuesday 1 November.

A big thank you to our juvenile club managers and mentors, to each and every child playing hurling, to their parents and to our local National schools for all their efforts this year.

Well done to all for the Challengeaton. Our end of year fundraiser was a great success thanks to the children and parents and organisers (Ollie etc). Winners of the Cooper helmets were Simon McGuinness, Arron Burke, Robert Connaire.

Huge thanks to everyone for turning out in such large numbers to celebrate with the Camogie Club!

Thanks for all the fires. It was an unforgettable weekend. Super memories for both Senior and U16 panels!



On behalf of all 32 players, management and officers, Sarsfields Camogie Club would like to thank all our families, friends, neighbours and supporters who turned out in Duggan Park to cheer us on and also to the homecoming celebrations in Bullaun, New Inn and Ward's Ballyfa, it was an unforgettable weekend for all and we certainly wont forget it.

Minor A Qtr-Final. Full time at New Inn, Sarsfields 4-06 defeat Athenry 2-08.



The DVD of the County Final will be played Friday evening @9pm in the Harbour Bar Bullaun!

Sun 23rd Minor A Hurling Championship Final

Congratulations to Clarinbridge as they are crowned champions at Kenny Park with a 2-20 to 0-09 win over Kilnadeema/Leitrim.

 

Intermediate Hurling Championship Final 

Congratulations to Ahascragh/Fohenagh as they make history when defeating Ballindereen by 2-15 to 0-08 to win the Mick Sylver Cup. Ahascragh/Fohenagh gain Senior Hurling status for the first time. 



Congratulations to St Thomas on winning the Co Senior Championship 1-11 v Gort 0-10. Its a second County Senior win for St. Thomas'



Congratulations to Meelick-Eyrecourt on wining the Minor B Championship Final 3-11 v Craughwell 2-07

For Meelick-Eyrecourt, it is their first Minor title since 1964 - a wait of 52 years.

Galway’s request for home games in the Leinster SHC has been declined with location a major stumbling block as Leinster feel the Pearse Stadium venue is too far into the county for travel. Maybe if Ballinasloe was improved..



Frank Burke (Ardrahan) confirms he is running for GAA Presidency. Galway GAA announced 25 Oct that Frank confirmed his candidacy for the position of Uachtarán Cumann Luthchleas Gael.
