The season kicked off last weekend with a great win from the Under 13 Boys Football team against James Gaels An Caislean with a score of 6-11 to 3-8 in the Grading League – superb start to the season by the lads, well done. There was great support at the Table Quiz last Friday night in aid of the Under 14 Boys Feile Team – many thanks to organisers for putting on a great evening and to everybody who donated spot prizes. The Under 14 Camogie Team are running the €50 draw this month as a fundraiser for their Feile, if you are able to buy or sell a ticket please contact Deirdre Conway, Maria Coleman or Elaine Quinn. The draw is limited to 50 tickets – 1st Prize €1000 2nd Prize €500 3rd Prize €250 and 4th Prize €50. Club Shop is open Saturday 10-12pm. Our Mini Masters and Junior Academy continues every Saturday morning. This provides an introduction to Hurling, Camogie and Gaelic Football for boys and girls between the ages of 4 and 7. Footballs, hurls and helmets are provided and we have fully qualified and Garda vetted coaches. We have the use of our indoor hall and our pitches outside. Times: Mini Masters ages 4 & 5 (10am-11am) and Junior Academy ages 6 & 7 (11am-12pm). We are looking for new players so if your child is aged between 4-7 years old please bring them down – they have great fun. Tea / Coffee is available in the club bar whilst the parents can watch the kids training from the viewing window. The Club’s Operation Transformation is past its half way mark, there is great support from people in the club and the community – well done to the Healthy Club Committee for organising this event. This Wednesday there will be Circuit Training in the Bosco 6pm-7pm. Club Registration fees are now due and must be paid in full by the 17th February 2018. PLAYERS ARE NOT INSURED to play or train if registration fees are not paid by the above date. Please contact our Club Registrar Lizzy McGuinness on 086 1779281 for any queries. There will also be a club member available in the Club on the following days to take registrations. Tues 13th February - 7pm-8.30pm; Wed 14th February - 7pm-8:30pm; Thurs 15th February - 7pm-8.30pm; Sat 17th February - 11am–12.30pm. Club Lotto was not won last week and is now €1200 – tickets can be purchased online or are available from the club bar.
