It is with great sadness that we heard the news that our former player and good friend of our club Mel McIntyre passed away on Sunday morning after bravely battling with an illness. Our sincere condolences to Trish, their four sons and Mel’s family and friends. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.
GOOD COUNSEL SUMMER CAMPS 2017 dates are as follows – CAMP 1: Hurling/Camogie (age 5-13) 17th-21st July; CAMP 2: Football (age 5-13) 24th-28th July – both camps 10am to 2.30pm. One set of Cul Camp gear will be given to each child at the Cul Camps (Camp 1 or 2). Gear comprises of a Jersey, Half Zip Top and Gear bag. CAMP 3: Advanced Camp (Age 13 or over) 1st – 3rd Aug 12pm-3pm; CAMP 4: Club Camp 14th-18th Aug 10am-2.30pm. Registration for the camps will take place on Saturday 8th July 10am-1pm. Congratulations to our under 13 camogie team who secured runners up position in their league at the weekend. Did you know that we have a Knitting & Crochet group in the club? They meet on a Tuesday morning in the club bar 10.30am-12.30pm……why not drop down for a chat and bring your needles & wool! Set dancing continues every Monday at 7.30pm and Bingo is on Wednesday from 8.30pm.
