Last weekend the hurlers were knocked out of the championship with a loss to St Brigids in Russell Park. The junior camogie side lost to Skerries. The U15 footballers won last week against Na Fianna. Next week the first team footballers play Craobh Chiarain on Saturday 22 in the Club, throw-in is at 6.00pm and on Sunday 23 the second team play Castleknock in the Club, throw-in is at 3.00pm. On Tuesday 18 the senior camogie side play Ballinteer in the Club, throw-in is at 7.00pm and the junior side play Kilmacud on Thursday 20 in Kilmacud, throw-in is at 7.00pm. The Launch night for Strictly- Counsel Style is on Friday September 4 at 8.30pm in the Club Bar. Dancers will be paired and their dance selected on the night. As most of the tickets are being sold by the dancers there are a limited amount left which will go on sale at the launch for €20.00. There will be finger food and entertainment on the night and all club members are invited to come along and join in the fun. There will be special drinks promotions on the night also. There is a kids movie magic night on this Thursday 20 in the Club as a fundraiser for Strictly. From 5-7pm there will be a movie shown for U8s to U12s and from 7.30pm to 9.30pm U13s to U16s. The Club is hosting another car boot sale on Saturday 22 from 10-3. Gates open for sellers at 9-9.30am and cars/small vans are charged €15, public admission is free. The Club Lotto was not won last week, the numbers were 4-7-26. Next week’s jackpot is €1,100. Bingo continues on Wednesdays in the Club at 8.30pm. Texas Hold'em is on Fridays at 9pm. Button accordion and concertina lessons are on Mondays at 8 and set-dancing is on Mondays from 7.30pm.  |
