The U15 hurlers had a great run last week, beating Ballyboden 6-7 to 1-9 and beating St Vincent’s 4-9 to 3-10. Next weekend, Sunday August 16, the adult hurlers are in championship action. They play St Brigids at Russell Park in a quarter-final . Throw-in is at 10.15am. The junior camogie team play Skerries at home in the league on Thursday, throw-in is at 7pm. The Club will be hosting another car boot sale on August 22, public admission is free from 10am-2pm. For sellers the gate opens at 9am and small cars/vans are €15. As part of a Strictly-Counsel Style fundraiser, the Club is having a kids movie magic night on Thursday August 20. From 5.00-7.00pm there will be a movie for U8s to U12s and from 7.30-9.30pm there will be one for U13s to U16s, bring a cushion! Entry is €5 which includes a goodie bag. Next week’s jackpot is €1,000. The Club is also taking part in a fundraiser with the Echo newspaper, each Thursday there will be vouchers in the paper, the Club that collects the most wins a kit for their Club so please support!
