Boyne RFC Annual Social Tag every Thursday
Every Thursday evening @ 7pm at Shamrock Lodge the Summer Tag League continues. It's social mixed tag and you don't need any experience. If you want, you can organize your own team (8 a side at least 2 females) or you can come along on your own or with 1 or 2 friends and we will put you in a team.
It's €20 per person for 6 weeks with a free BBQ included.
It's a great, inexpensive way to get some exercise and have fun.

North East Stars in their Eyes – more details will follow
The Concept:
“Stars in Their Eyes” is a new fundraising event adapted from the TV production, that allows individual participants, duo’s or group participants to take part(every individual, duo or group will be an Act), with a goal of being able to perform on stage on Thursday 10th July 2014 in TLT.
Each Act will be “transformed” for the night into their chosen performer/s. Acts can suggest who they would like to be, and the production team will also have suggestions and guidance for each act. Choreography and voice training will be available to all performer/s.
Each Act must raise in excess of €200 as sponsorship to take part, and endeavour to sell at least 15 – 20 tickets for the show. A supplement of €25 will be required for acts which have more than one participant I.E. Boy bands, Girl Bands, Groups etc. Performer/s will be supplied with professional backing tracks. All singing must be LIVE and musicians, if required will mime to backing track/s provided.
Acts can raise additional funds before show night, and any funds raised over the stated sponsorship will be converted into votes and known as “Pre-Votes” on the night.
The top 5 on the night will be the Acts who will have the highest combined score which is an amalgamation of 50% from judges and the remaining 50% is made up from pre-votes and voting on the night. The calculation of the votes will be done by computer and carried out by appointed independent vote counters and scrutinizers and available after show for scrutiny.
The top 5 will perform again and the judges will adjudicate the winning Act.
The overall “Northeast Stars in Your Eyes” winning act will receive €1000, 2nd place €500 and 3rd place €300. The winner will also receive a full day in Four Winds recording studio plus a lovely trophy.
PLEASE NOTE: 1st timers, amateurs and semi-professionals are all welcome and encouraged to participate. Entry is open to all folk over 16 years of age.
Similar to other fundraising shows i.e. ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ or ‘White Collar Boxing’ each act will have to raise €200 to participate. A supplement of €25 will be required for acts which have more than one participant. All performer/s will be asked to sell a minimum of between 15 and 20 tickets each for the Gala Show @ €20.
