Your membership subscription for the season 2021-22 is now due. Please support your club by paying your subscription without delay. Hopefully you will have seen the plans for the Pitch Development and Extensions to Dressing rooms. Your club needs your support now more than ever.

Dear Club Supporter,
Boyne R.F.C. was founded 1997. Up until then Drogheda had two rugby clubs; Drogheda RFC and Delvin RFC
Today Boyne RFC caters for upwards of 350 Youth members with teams playing at all age-groups from U6s to U18s, boys and girls, as well as 170 Adult members featuring 4 adult teams
Also Boyne RFC provides its facilities for 5 secondary schools in the area and numerous primary schools while part funding a Club Community Rugby Officer (CCRO) for Drogheda and its environs
Boyne RFC also provides support for 2 special needs schools on its premises and shares its facilities with both of the said schools
With so much activity our 2 pitches at Shamrock Lodge come under severe stress every season, and when the inclement weather arrives we often have to postpone/cancel training and matches. We currently rent additional grounds every Saturday for our minis (U'6 - U'12) section to train and our Youths (U'13 - U'18) also train at a remote location. We have now come to the decision to invest in a World Rugby Approved Synthetic Pitch/Floodlighting/Spectator Fencing in order to accommodate the huge numbers of players within our Club in one location.
We believe that developing this World Rugby Synthetic Pitch is essential to achieving the club's aim of bringing together all of the different playing elements of the Club into one location, enabling as many matches and trainings as is possible to take place at Shamrock Lodge and ensuring all our players, at every age, can enjoy playing and training in a first class facility at their home ground.
Covid 19 has dramatically inhibited our ability to source funding. In order to continue our goals of bringing rugby to our community we need your help with one of our main sources of funding for this year. Your Club your Country is a centrally organised draw that enables clubs to generate revenues; each online ticket cost €10, with ALL ticket sales going directly to the club. The IRFU have sourced all the prizes so each ticket sale will have a direct benefit for our Club. We have seen local winners in the past, as recently as 2020 we had a local member winning 3rd prize which was an amazing weekend for Italy v Ireland 2021 Guinness Six Nations VIP trip to Rome with the IRFU Patrons Club.
