The Annual General meeting of the club will take place in Shamrock Lodge on 23rd July 2020 at 8:00p.m. Ordinary full members of the club (including life members) who have paid their membership subscriptions prior to 25th June 2020 are entitled to attend and vote at the AGM.
All members will be emailed the agenda for the meeting and a nomination paper for candidates who wish to serve as officers of the club or ordinary members of committee during 2020-21. As the use of any physical paper documents is strictly Not Allowed under IRFU Covid-19 guidelines, Completed, ‘virtually’ signed nomination papers should be returned to me via email to hon.sec@boynerfc.ie) on or before Monday 14th July 2020.
Similarly, it would facilitate the efficient running of the meeting if, by Monday 14th July, you could provide notice of any motion you intend to propose. This will enable us to circulate details of motions to all in attendance. An update to motions from prior years will be provided at the AGM.
Please note that some members of the outgoing committee will not be standing for re-election. In order to strengthen committee and ensure that the interests of the members are well served, it is important that we receive nominations from members committed to the continued growth and development of the club.
A Special General Meeting (SGM) of the club will take place in Shamrock Lodge on 23rd July 2020 at 7:30p.m. Ordinary full members of the club (including life members) who have paid their membership subscriptions prior to 25th June 2020 are entitled to vote at the SGM.
As you are aware our Annual General Meeting has been deferred due to Covid-19 restrictions in line Government and IRFU protocols. As a consequence, we did not meet the requirement to hold an AGM prior to June 30, as laid out in our Club Constitution. Therefore, the purpose of the SGM is to ratify the following motion:
Motion: Boyne RFC is authorised to hold the AGM on July 23rd at 8:00 pm.
This meeting will be held in line with Boyne RFC Covid-19 Health & Safety Plan, IRFU and Government guidelines as follows:
- Attendees will have to confirm their intention to attend the meeting in advance. This can be done via telephone to the office on 041 983 7103, e-mail to Hon.sec@boynerfc.ie or e-mail to office.admin@boynerfc.ie
- All attendees will be required to complete a Covid-19 Health Declaration form in advance of attendance and submit via e-mail to hon.sec@boynerfc.ie or office.admin@boynerfc.ie
- Follow social distancing measures as indicated by the Covid-19 Club Safety Officer – Peter Kerr
- Contact logs will be maintained
- The use of any physical paper documents is strictly Not Allowed under IRFU Covid-19 guidelines
