Boyne RFC would like to announce that Peter Kerr (Former Boyne CCRO) who comes from a Construction Project Management  background has very kindly taken up the role In Boyne as Covid -19 Club Safety Officer. Please read the following from Peter.

Dear Players, Parents/Guardians Members Families & Friends of Boyne RFC.

Considering recent guidelines laid down by the IRFU and the Department of Health a Covid-19 club risk assessment and safety plan for our return to Rugby is currently been developed for Boyne RFC...

At Boyne RFC our Player and extended family’s safety & welfare will be paramount in how we return to train and play. We are currently working on the planning stage to provide a safe environment for all, which will mean many changes around the club & how players coaches and parents interact while maintaining an enjoyable experience.

A covid 19 club compliance officer has been assigned to all adult youth and mini’s, squads, these will be the point of contact for each squad, I’d like to express my gratitude to them all for volunteering at this time.

It Is imperative that we all strictly adhere to these guidelines on our return to Rugby in order to maintain best practice and safety of all involved. Details will be updated frequently on our social media and by email,. Further general information is available on the IRFU website www.irishrugby.ie..

IRFU Add ‘Competition Stage’ To Roadmap For Clubs With September Return Planned

The IRFU are working toward a modified season for 2020/21. The governing body recognises concerns over travel, safety and expense and this will be reflected in the season’s structure.

The IRFU are now in a position to add a ‘Competition Stage’ to their Return To Rugby Guidelines For Clubs.

This is to allow clubs to plan and work towards the start of the 2020/21 season and the playing of rugby matches.

September has been given as the month in which rugby matches will be permitted to return for clubs.
