Lismore 4 Brideview Utd 0 Brideviews winning run came to an end last Sunday in the BCS school field Lismore last Sunday. We entered the game knowing that a win would secure the league and that a draw or a loss wouldn’t be the end of the world. Lismore knew a win would put them back in the running and they came out all guns blazing with the help of a strong wind. Make most of the elements the lightning quick Lismore attack bombarded Brideview in the opening minutes and they were 2-0 up before the quarter of an hour mark. On 30mins Lismore put the game out of our reach when they converted a rebounded penalty after the initial spot kick was saved by Seanie Barry. Lismore continued to wreak havoc and put the game completely of reach and went in at the break 4-0 up. Brideview made changes but it didn’t affect the scoreline either way and the game ended in a heavy defeat as happens more often than not after a long winning run. Team - S Barry, B Henley, JP Grey ( A Pratt ) K Geary ( A Kearney ) K Fraser, Eric Hickey,P Kearney ( D McInerney )W Curley, M Curley, P O Brien (Sent off ) and W Henley. Reserves S Pratt and K Casey. Preview Brideview return to cup action this Sunday home to Kinsalebeg Celtic.Even though the languish at the foot of the table United should not take them for granted - we have learned before in this competition that if we do - we will get caught like in the past. It will be made all the more difficult as we are missing a few through suspension but no doubt the replacements will be chomping at the bit to get back in the team as it comes to the business end of things. Please come along to support the lads in what will be an interesting few weeks ahead. Fixtures Sunday Ned Barry Cup Brideview Utd A v Kinsalebege Celtic 11.30am
Please Note
The prize amounts above are what each winner will receive.
