Rowing News:
Last night, Nov 20th, we were delighted to be welcomed to city hall Mayor James Collins for a mayoral reception to celebrate the club’s Irish Championship win and our rowing and coaching international representations for last season. Thank you Mayor for the warm welcome.
The Irish Provinces Indoor Rowing Competition takes place in UL Arena on Nov. 24th and we'll be making our presence felt in a big way again this year. Best of luck to all our athletes.
Muckross Head of the River follows on Dec. 1st. That should clear the most stubborn lf cobwebs, and it'll be great to get back to racing on the water.
Social & Fundraising:
**Stop Press**
We have a new event this year, a Club Christmas night on Dec 23rd - save the date. More details on this next week.
St. Michael’s will once again run a Junior Christmas Raffle to raise funds for our development programmes. We have some very ambitious plans and our fundraising needs to match it including a potential return to the U.K. Schools Regatta at Eton Dorney.
Already signed up to provide prizes are this heroic bunch of supporters - Starting Small Standing Tall Childcare, The Commercial Bar, Redfaire, Bowe Dental, Suas Climbing Centre, DCG Solutions, GBM & a donation from the Captain’s father.
We’re aiming for 20+ prizes supporting local businesses and providers. We’re calling on all members & supporters to use their contacts to help us stock up on prizes. Cash donations also welcome and we’ll use these to purchase local goods & services.
Our members & supporters keep us going & we had a lovely reminder of some of our A List supporters from back in 1998 - Limerick’s finest The Cranberries.
