Congratulations to Ryan Spelman on his selection to compete for Ireland at this year’s Coupe de la Jeunesse. It’s an amazing achievement & we’re very proud of him.
Ellen Murphy will be competing at Cork Regatta as part of further assessment for crew selection for the women’s international squad. Best of luck Ellen
Congratulations also to Ronan O’Gorman & Dec O’Connor on their wins at Metro last Saturday. We had a small entry but it was a stunning day by the lake in Blessington and there was a great atmosphere amongst our members. Ya can't bate a bit of sunshine too. :)
Unfortunately due to 2018’s crazy weather and multiple cancelled regattas we have only had one of the Grand League Regattas - Metro. The good news is that St Michael’s are the clear leaders of the Women’s Division 1 section.
Roll on Cork Regatta where we’ll aim to close it out.
There was a great turnout to our Coxing Workshop at the club tonight, thanks to the local clubs as expert cox and coach Malachy Mc Glynn passed on his knowledge and experience to the attendees.
The 2nd in our series of 3 open days will be taking place this Thursday 14th from 5-7pm. The open days are aimed at boys and girls from 6th class onwards & attending children must be accompanied by an adult on the day.
No need to book a place for the open day just drop in and take a tour of the club, try the ergometers, meet the coaches & get details of our Rowing Summer Camps which be taking place in August.
