Lucky dip next week so make sure you're entered and maybe enroll a friend too.
Rowing News:
The SMRC Head of the River is all planned for Feb 24/25, and of course we're keeping a very close eye on the weather and the associated water levels at O'Brien's Bridge.
Typo? Nope, this year's HoR is a 2-day event. It's a new format and we'll have all the details on our website SMRC.ie RowingIreland.com and on social media this coming week. In addition to 2 days of rowing, we're inviting everyone to come along to Cobblestone Joes, Ellen St., on the Saturday evening to warm up, have some hot food and we can now confirm that SMRC ex-member Brian O'Connor will be flying in from Sweden to play a gig for us.
No news from the Kerry Head in Killorglin as the event was called off on the morning of, due to unsafe water levels and flow. What a shame as even our Captain was all set for a spin. Allegedly!
Social events:
Plans are underway for the 1st SMRC Boston Tea Party, to be held at the clubhouse on Saturday March 3rd. More details next week...
